Key facts
Fees shown are from our published price guide. Your written treatment plan confirms costs before anything begins.
Implant or bridge?
A conventional bridge spans the gap by crowning the teeth on each side, which means preparing two healthy teeth. If those teeth are already heavily filled or crowned, that may be sensible. If they are sound, cutting them down to replace a different tooth is a real cost.
An implant is self-supporting. It also preserves the bone in the gap, which gradually resorbs when a tooth is lost and nothing replaces the root.
What the appointment involves
After assessment and radiographs, the implant is placed under local anaesthetic through a small opening in the gum. Once healed and integrated, an impression or scan is taken and a custom crown is made to match the shade and shape of your other teeth.
Common questions
Single Tooth Implants: your questions answered
How much does a single tooth implant cost?
At Wolverhampton Dental, expect £100 for assessment, from £1,700 for the implant and from £1,350 for the implant crown. You will receive a written treatment plan with your total cost before starting.
Will the implant crown match my other teeth?
Yes — the crown is made individually and shade-matched to the adjacent teeth. If you plan to whiten, do so before the crown is made, as porcelain does not lighten.
What if there is not enough bone?
Bone grafting may be recommended to build up the site before or during implant placement. This is assessed from your radiographs and discussed at your assessment appointment.
